The Denville Recreation
Baseball Camp is a great learning opportunity presented by an outstanding
staff . Coaches have a combined 60 plus years of coaching
experience on the high school level and countless years teaching
baseball in this camp. The coaches are all presently coaching baseball
at the high school level with the exception of the camp director who is
a retired head varsity coach with 30 years of coaching
experience. Camper self esteem, learning the fundamentals of the
game, and a lot of fun goes hand in hand to make this camp a great
experience for any youngster who enjoys the game!
There are three
camps offered: Baseball Basics,
for the five and six year olds, Little League for
the seven through twelve players, and the Welcome to the Big Diamond camp for the 12 to 15 year olds.
All groups are "age appropriate". Fundamentals are stressed each
day in group work and every day ends with a game! The camp is
primarily open to Denville residents but we do take a small percentage
of campers from surrounding towns on a first come, first serve basis.
The Basics Camp as well as the Little League camp run
simultaneously. These camps start the last days in June and run
for two weeks. The Welcome to the Big Diamond camp is a one week
camp and starts directly after the Baseball Basics and regular Little
